Welcome to the Neighborhoods section of our website. We've realized from our experience with past clients that two of the hardest things about moving are 1) determining how near your new home is to things you want to be close to and 2) to figure out where to go for all your errands in your new, often unfamiliar neighborhood.
To help people through both of these issues, we've compiled and written reviews for the best restaurants, cafes, local shops and yoga/pilates studios in each neighborhood. We've also indicated where the post offices, libraries, grocery stores, gas stations, parks and schools are located so whether you are a local moving to a new neighborhood or you've just moved to our city from elsewhere you can quickly find all the places that you'll need to help you through your day.
The neighborhoods that we have focused on are on the left hand navigation bar. The parameters or borders for the neighborhoods are those delineated by the real estate map put out by the San Francisco Association of Realtors. In terms of the map functionality, all you have to do is click on one of the pinpoints in order to read the review. You can also click on the link under the maps to get to the full Google map which will list all the places we've reviewed for a comprehensive overview and read all the reviews for all the places in full.
We've color coded all the maps for consistency and ease of use. Here's the legend:Red Pinpoints = Restaurants
Light Blue Pinpoints = Local Stores
Dark Blue Pinpoints = Yoga or Pilates Studios
Green Pinpoints = Parks
Yellow Pinpoints = Entertainment/Points of Interest
Envelopes = Post Offices
Fire = Fire Stations
Shopping Baskets = Grocery Stores
Houses w/ Flags = Schools
Flags = Libraries
This has been a huge undertaking for us. We hope that you find it helpful as you determine where you want to buy or if you've already got a home, to inspire you to get out and explore some of the neighborhoods that make our city so great to live in!
We'd love to share this with others. Please forward this to whoever else you think might find this useful.
