About Chris...

Prior to obtaining my broker license, I was an attorney practicing at large law firms first in New York City and later in Silicon Valley. Dissatisfied with practicing law, I entered the real estate profession so that I could use the skills and discipline I developed during my studies at Cornell Law School and my law firm experience in a realm where my skills prove beneficial, interaction with clients is positive and rewarding, and job satisfaction is huge.

In law school, I learned that one of the core concepts of agency is that an agent owes his clients the duties of care, honesty and loyalty. Karen and I take these duties to our clients very seriously. With our dealings with our clients as well as with other agents we are conscious of, and live up to, our obligation to put our clients' interests above our own and treat their affairs with all the diligence we would our own.

In my spare time I like to work on my 1991 Mercedes 350 SDL (turbo diesel) converted to run on waste fryer vegetable oil, road cycle, woodwork, hike, play pool, study languages, do yoga, discover and listen to (almost) any form of music, invest in real estate and eat Karen's amazing cooking.

About Karen...

I joined Chris two years into his real estate practice after having graduated from McGill Law School, being a director of business development for the only profitable segment of a dot-com and having owned a high-end catering company. From those endeavors I learned that in order to for us succeed, it is crucial to offer incredible value to our clients and to exceed our clients' expectations so that they will want to introduce us to all their friends and co-workers — not because they are obligated to, but because they feel like it is truly benefiting the people they care about.

Depending on the year, on average 91% of our clients are introductions from past clients, friends and business associates. To honor that trust and willingness to introduce us to friends, colleagues and family, we are constantly looking for innovative ways in which we can offer value to our existing and potential client base.

My personal interests include cooking (and of course eating, which I believe came first), yoga, running, dancing, traveling, reiki, furniture refinishing projects, and real estate investing.

About Karen & Chris as a team...

Not only are we business partners, we are married as well. As you can imagine, our personal and professional interests are very much aligned! We each have very different skill sets, and as a result, truly complement each other's strengths and weaknesses (which is probably why we can be married and run our business successfully without wanting to kill each other).

No single person can excel at every aspect of the real estate business — there are simply too many facets to it. Between the two of us we are able to successfully manage every aspect of the business.
